Private Equity Associate (gn)

Paragon Partners is an independent private equity firm based in Munich. Paragon invests in established, mid-sized businesses, creating value for companies, people and investors. Paragon Partners was established in 2004 by a team of experienced private equity professionals and is wholly owned and operated by the partners. The team is based in one central office in Munich. Our investors include institutional organizations, such as life insurance companies, pension funds and university foundations, as well as the Paragon team. With currently € 2.4 billion under management, Paragon Partners is expanding the team and is hiring an Associate (gn). 

The role:

• Take on a significant role in all aspects of a transaction from deal origination to execution and exit, with a leadership position on financial and commercial analysis.
• Responsibility for financial modelling and due diligence work-streams, but Associates work across the entire deal life cycle, including taking a monitoring role in portfolio management and improvement.
• Work across different industry sectors and all varieties of deal situations, thorough analysis of diverse sectors and companies.

Your Profile:

• Passionate about deal-making and investing. keen on learning and to become an excellent, responsible investor.
• Enthusiasm for the German Mittelstand and experienced in working with mid-cap companies.
• Driven and energetic with a positive attitude.
• Commercially savvy, able to take a balanced view on deal opportunities.
• Decision maker, who is willing to put forward an opinion.
• A highly analytical person with excellent financial skills, able to interpret financial data and advanced in LBO modelling.
• Excellent academic degree, cross-border experience and extracurricular activities.
